Topic Dog Boards / Health / Shaky Back Leg

Over the past couple of weeks the grumpy collie has started to develop a shake in one of her back legs. She has this shake when she stands still or if she's lying down. It seems to be an involuntary thing. Plus, on a walk a few weeks ago, her back end seemed to collapse completely, but then she stood up and trotted off completely sound.

The shake is regardless of exercise and it's no worse after a 2 hour walk. She's totally happy within herself and in good condition.

She will be 12 in June. Before I over-react completely and whisk her off to the vet again, does anyone have any idea what it could be. Is it just old age, or is it something more sinister? Al is convinced that she's on her way out and he can start looking for a new labrador!

Thanks

9th
