Glazby jumped on the bed this morning as usual to give me my morning loves and cuddles but as I went to sit up he decided to pounce on me and bashed my nose full whack - I had a nasty nosebleed and its all swollen and sore now!! Poor Glaz didn't know what had happened and tried to kiss it better but that hurt even more - not what I needed at 6.30am!!
Has anyone else incurred injuries due to very affectionate dogs??!!

My other half suffered a fractured ankle after Gus took chase after a squirrel and pulled him down a hill

Multiple scratches and bruises, jumping on my back whilst crouching down (polishing the fire has never been so dangerous)!
I've been headbutted, knocked over is a favourite past time of our dog and i'm blinded frequently by her tail swishing.
:D :D :D
The things we do for love!! I can't remember the last time I was able to wear a skirt due to the amount of bruises I have on my legs - they start of as scratches but end up as bruises!!
Still - wouldn't be without him - I'm just hoping I won't have a black eye at the end of today, my nose is very sore!!

Are you sure you haven't broken it? You won't be the 1st! :)
Hmmm I'm not sure, but I don't think so - its stopped bleeding now but is very red and I think I can some bruising coming through already. And there was me hoping to go out this weekend!!

My 6-month old pup gave me a massive scratch down my face when he was 3-months. I stupidly taught him how to give his paw, and when we were playing I was on all fours making stupid doggy noises (don't ask :-)). It was making me laugh as he kept cocking his head on one side and his ears kept pricking up, and then he kindly offered me his paw! I had a scratch for the next week (bless him). It was so painful it made me cry - still, it taught me a valuable lesson!

My mum walked my dog, willow (Working sheep-dog) to meet after work as I was feeling particulary down all day. In her excitement, Willow jumped up and copped me on the nose with her claws...cue nose-bleed. Not a great end to an already poor day lol! At least I found it funny at the time too! and Willow was completely oblivious!

For some unknown reason my male newf decided to run upstairs and jump on the bed once, well he thought it was the bed , it was in fact me 11 stone on two feet landing on my chest.
Broke 4 ribs!! I must admit i did swear a bit !!

Oh my god!! My nose is nothing in comparasson to broken ribs!! I remember breaking mine once a few years ago in a riding accident and there is no pain like it that I've felt before or since!!
My nose is still feeling very tender but I'm being a bit braver now!!
I'm sure Glazby (my boxer) thinks he's a mountain goat - he loves climbing all over people and standing with all paws together perched on the arm of the sofa and then either climbing back over the top of us again or generally he falls off and looks most embarrassed!!
Megan did this to me the other day. She has a habit of boxing me on the nose when she is excited and she managed to catch her nail on the inside of my nose, boy, did it bleed and it was sooo painful.

Hi there, my 8 month old puppy who is very excitable is shocking for jumping on people and quite regularly bops me on the face with her paws as she is so big now. I have had numerous scratches and bumps from her, but I think her worst ever moment was when she jumped up on my other half in the showring just after winning her puppy class and bursting his nose, poor soul had blood every where. Luckily enough the judge had a pack of hankies handy. I have to say though he did manage to recover in time for her to go on and win best puppy :) lol.
