I am breeding my bitch, and have been in touch with several different stud dog owners (to find the most suitable). As far as I am aware it is normal practice to have two matings. The owner of the stud dog I want to use only offers one. Is there any real reason why you should have two matings or is one enough?
Any advice on this would be much appreciated.
Hi Guest, I`ve found each stud dog owner has their own way of working. I`ve also spoke to several experienced breeders & the advice depends, 1 mating 2 matings, depends on the circumstances as no 2 matings will be alike. I prefer quality over quantity myself so have a think & see which advice you think may be the best to suit your own particular circumstances/dogs & what would be the best in your own opinion :)
