hello can sum 1 tell me please what is the best sort of lead for a staffordshire bull terrier

A strong leather one is best - what type of lead were you thinking of ?
It should be strong and have a sensible clip on - not one that comes undone easily as some cheap ones can.
I woouldnt recommend a retractable lead either as Staffys are to strong for this

A strong one!  Leather that's supple IMHO is the best for all dogs (and owners, after all, you're the one holding it), failing that a nice plaited webbing or a horse lead rope (although the clips may be a bit too heavy).  I do not like chain leads, they hurt......  As with any piece of equipment it will need to be checked regularly for potential sudden failure (rotting stitching, or wear)
