Hi,another problem with Star my 6 months old lab. She has started barking at anyone and anything she hears outside.I don't mind her barking to warn us of anyone coming to the door,although I just ignore it,and never scold or praise ,or react in any way.However,she has started barking at people walking past,neighbour going in and out his back garden etc,and seems to be afraid as she is jumpy and nervous and runs in with her tail between her legs. If she is indoors and hears anyone outside,she barks furiously and tries to run and hide under my desk,and even ran upstairs today when people were talking as they passed the gate. Is this just another "Phase" I know they can get these "fear" episodes,and she has been fine up till now,despite next door's dog barking constantly when they go out.She hasnt been out for a walk these last few days,mainly because of the weather and the fact that she got spayed last Monday.She is normally quite friendly and outgoing. In fact she is too friendly at times. She jumps up on everyone she meets inside and out.I have a problem with her nipping anyone who tries to tell her off for jumping up,and wonder if this is behaviour is all caused by nervousness.If so,what is the best way to combat it?
