Hi,

I attend training classes with my lab and anticipate that we will shortly be doing scent disc with cloths.  Now my lab being a lab would just love to run out and eat all the cloths up one after the other! So, I am wondering if there is anything that I can do now that might help to conquer this beforehand.

You can buy scent cloths, including ones that you put tiles inside to weigh them down.  If you are interested send me a private message and I will look up the phone number for you

Hi,
My obedience instructor has got cloths that are glued onto vinyl tiles, or if she's not using those, she will put a pile of salt on each cloth she doesn't want her dog to pick up.  Seems to work with him.

err I think my lab would still go for the cloth with salt on!!! just a shame a bit of vinegar wasn't on them too!  The vinyl tiles thing sounds good though.  Thanks!

scent can be quite tricky to teach so id wait till you start it in club! if you cant get hold of any cloths hankies are good! or a old sheet cut into 7" squares
