Well Dakota's finally done it at Manchester today, got his all important 3rd CC with his son getting another Res CC, Dakota also took BOB, so all his tickets were with BOB his breeder was crying bless her, he's her 6th homebred champion and my first.

Thanks for that everyone, it is a very strange feeling, I'd made a promise to his breeder before he died 14mths ago that I would keep going until I made Dakota up ------ so there were tears and laughter yesterday as well as some congrats thru gritted teeth lol.

Linda you know he only has eye's for Casey, how could you think he'd stray from his first love in Pei's????  I looked for you but couldn't find you, half expected to see you in the group ring, EVERONE heard Dakota the shame of it!  I didn't care how much noise or how silly he was in the big ring, he'd got something to shout about for a change, Ken Sinclair had given him his 1 and only Res CC and remembered him when he saw him, he laughed and we agreed the dog had taken his working hat off so just enjoy bless lol.

As for many more? I hope so but probably not before there is a docking ban as Dakota was my only docked schip the rest are tailed, still had my tailed bitch in for the puppy bitch challenge mind, not that I'm greedy but I would like to be the first to make up a tailed champion in the breed -------- ok I'll go quietly now eh???? lol

Thanks for all the support folks, I still haven't got used to the idea that gobby in the kennels is a Ch!  All I need now is someone to tell me how it gets on his daughters pedigree at the Swedish kennel Club? 

I now really have to think hard about my breeding plans as he is an MPS 3b carrier, but so are both his son's, so whichever way I go with my males I'm going to have to test and breed to clear bitches only - at least I know which is which as I've tested all my stock.  Everyone in the breed knew he wasn't at public stud until he'd made up that was before we knew about MPS so as I've published all my results I am assuming there will be no out of kennel enquiries which makes for an easier life me thinks lol.

Linda I realised when I checked the results yesterday that Pei's weren't listed at Manchester but I do hope to catch up with you at Crufts at least after we've shown we can go for a cuppa or sommat stronger!!!!!!!!!!!

but we can have a coffee  at crufts   :D      and i'll share my lunch that pedigree provide    [3 ways]   !!!  save us standing in the  line for a  butty.

Funny you should ask that, my friend now works as a vet nurse for this New Emergency care cover that vets can use, we were talking only on Saturday about himself and his grassroots work over this way ----- she's checking it out for us to see if he's still in Stoke or if he's moved on because his name has not been mentioned once in the papers for ages now.

So Linda how come you get a lunch from pedigree?  My rep told me I was a cheeky mare, was introduced to him before judging and asked him what they'd got on offer that I'd not had before if I won, Dakota's breeder said when they win if you don't mind!  Went back when we got the ticket and wave that under his nose and demanded a 4th cuppa and biccies, told him I'd be back for my towel, can't think why he didn't believe me lol.

  you get presented with crystal at crufts for some of the wins--  so ive to pick up the top breeder crystal [2nd year running]  and the top shar-pei one too- the top breeder also comes with a luncheon voucher from pedigree---------------see  :D     nothing to it    :rolleyes:
