Best start you can make is to speak to her breeder who should be able to suggest suitable lines you should look at for a suitable stud they will also be able to tell you of any health tests you should do before breeding her. If for some reason you have lost contact with the bitches breeder you may find the breed club will be able to help you if you become a member, which is a good idea anyway as if people contact them looking for pups they can let them know you have or are planning pups. If you start now you should have things in place by her next season when she will be about the right age to become a Mum for the first time.

if you are wanting to breed your lhasa girl, firstly you must have her tested for pra,she shoud be a least 18 month's old,or better still 2 year's of age,i have bred shown and owned lhasa's for the last 6-7 year's with great sucess, but you need to be looking for a stud dog that will compliment her type and line's you would really be better off talking to her breeder.who should be able to advise you.be sure this is what is best for your girl and you,as it takes alot of time and effort in rearing a litter of lhasa's,and everything does not alway's go to plan.
