Crufts is not far off now.If at all possible go and see what type you like.
There are so many types.I prefer an open face chow myself .I also prefer black chows.Saying that I have two shaded reds.
Have you had chows before?  They are not everyones type of dog.I myself would not wan't to be owned by any other breed.
There is a very good book by Diana Phillips,The Chow Chow it is a very good book and its not expensive.
You may have to wait for the dog you want.
