Have decided there is nothing for it have to have a large glass of sherry, its never to early!

...... The morning started well will other half walking sir (i had a lie in :D )

Then when it was time for sir to have his mid morning nap, he decided he was okay and wanted to charge around and eat other halfs sleeve, much to his annoyance. :P

Finally after lunch we showed signs of sleep, i too decided i wanted a little kip.  Other half gone to watch footy just me and the boy to cuddle on the bed.

Bliss......... then sister and brother in law arrived, which was nice, follwed by aunt and uncle.  Aunt who is not a dog lover.  Well sir really woke up and went charging and bouncing everywhere leaving a little exciteable trickle in his path and on my uncles sock :O

My aunty wondered how i coped !!

Thankfully as nice as it was they didnt stay long.

Decided the best thing was to go for a walk and charge around on a field (the dog not me).  On route met a beautiful 18 month old male akita, so we stopped to natter and sir did his usual and bounced over the akita.

Made our way to the playing field where we met a black lab, again we bounced over each other saying hello, at this point i'm covered in mud and so is the boy, hey ho.

Decided as other half not with me i wont let him of the lead (recall need lots of practising) and tied a washing line round his collar.  The knot was perfect and i was ready, of sir went not far at first.  Then we decided to really run, im feeling happy as i know he cant run of.  He runs to the end of the line, me holding on tight and then......... the bl**dy line snapped  few swear words on my behalf as the realisation was he was running free.  Thankfully he came trotting over once he knew liver cake was on offer.  At this point i decided it best to go home.

After having changed combats and washed the boy, think he brought the soil home with him, I can now relax.

He is fast alseep and i will soon be perusing the takeout menu.

Just felt like sharing my day.

thanks

Lou

We all have days like this. :D

You should try chasing after dogs that have gone off after pheasants  (forgot to take the whistle with me that day)

A VERY large glass of sherry sounds like a good idea to me ;) Though I think I'd prefer a glass or two (or three) of wine :)

You read my mind lindylou I have opened the wine :D

Ten 15 year olds  heidleberg i wish you a pleasant evening!! hope you get to sit down (at some point) and have a relaxing drink.

Sir is cuddled into a bean bag (was meant to be for the 3rd bedroom and not for him, he has claimed it as his in preference of his plush cushions  ) and his face is all squished (boxer) and cute with one paw peeping over.

Have decided it will be takeout pizza, best fone before other half gets back and moans about our health kick not lasting.

Have a good weekend.

Lou

OHHH I can beat that!!! my dear Verbal rolled in fox poo, in his brand new neon blue collar! I was 20 miles from home, in the winter. was a looonnngg cold drive home with all the windows open!
I never would have beleived a little fox waste could go so far!!

:) mygirl

thankfully sir didnt do that.

though he has a tendancy to stand on his own poo if we are not quick and its still on the lawn,

(you reminded me that last nite whilst out running i trod in poo, had to clean my trainers this morning  ) no wonder the keep fit wont last!

bet the bloke was looking forward to getting home :D

When i last saw him he was headed for the lake lol. Mind you mine was covered in mud from rolling around but at least it wasn't poo lol.
The way he made it sound was one of them likes doing it and it then brushed against the other!!
Off to crack the wine open myself, have a good night!! :D

LOL at this lot! Oh those happy days when you feel like turning your beloved hound into a handbag with matching gloves! :D Looby if it makes you feel any better ( by now yull be half way down the bottle and in no pain whatsoever!) the same thing happened to me with washing line so I bought a horse lunge rein.

Sounds like fun  took my crew out yesterday, marley the pharaoh went charging around in his usual way and dissapeared in the woods.  I called him but he didn't come back, I could hear him rustling about so I peered in and saw him stood by a tree.  I called and called him but he just stood there looking at me defiantly I shout OI and produced some goodies to entice him back but he just stood there.  Quite annoyed at this stage I traipsed through the bushes only to discover that poor marley practically tied to the tree tangled in vines :D :D :D he couldn't move bless him I had to go in a unravel him from it all.  His defiant look was actually one of indignant :) :) a warning to everyone to beware of rouge trees who are sick and tired of being weed upon :D

Looby, why not send the other half out to get another bottle?  You definately need more than one!!

Oh well look on the bright side tomorrow's another day and it couldn't be worse unless you've got a hangover.

I've got the parents coming over for tea tonight.  They are dropping my daughter back as she stayed with them last night after my brother's wedding, so that could be amusing as my pair love my parents and go nuts when they see them.  All quiet at the moment.  Tammy on my old fleece jacket (with zips removed), Jasper hogging the radiator and my little boy playing with his Thomas the Tank Engine train set.

Have a lovely, peaceful evening.

LOL! my days like that revolve around, setting out on a relaxing walk with my mutt, a SBT, and usually within 10 mins of setting of on the walk getting bombarded with out of control dogs, and idiot owners! really ruins a good day for me! Last time this happened, I was out with my dad and his Dogue cross, and we got called gyppo's!!! All for asking for the other dogs owner to get their aggressive dog on the lead!
I know my dog is a bugger with strange males, so he is always on the lead. Shame others think it is their right to allow their dogs to run amok!
Other than that, todays quiet walk was scuppered by a squirrel running in front of Verbal, resulting in me having to try and hide my shame as he screamed at every empty treetop for the rest of the walk!
remind me again WHY I chose my breed! lol!

You know how we get those "sunday drivers" as we say, the really slow ones in the pristine cars because they are garaged in the week.
I think the same applies to dog owners sometimes, they must sit there and think yeah! lets take the kids and the dog to the park and run amock! :D
Sometimes i get the urge to shout "I'm here everyday at this time walking my dog, where are you?" ;) Thankfully i don't lol.

had to share wine with other half.........so then proceeded to several port and lemonades whilst watching bruce almighty ( v funny)

thankfully no hangover this morning but did manage another lie in :D   other half up early for golf so he walked sir.

got up 8.30 ish for my brekkie and sirs after which we went back to bed for a little nap :P

sir and i woke up at 10.40 and thought perhaps now was a good time to get up.

i did go to the gym for 40ish minutes followed by a quick dash round tescos.  upon returning home the boy greeted me and i had a relaxing cuppa and chocolate chip chookie :D

other half cooking tea and sir resting after our walk, am now relaxing with a cold lager and catching up on here.

hope heidleberg had a good nite with the ten 15 year olds.
