Looking for a fabric collar with clip or buckle fastening adjustable that will cover at least 26" Does anyone have a web site that may be able to help.

Jackie

I have had some wonderful collars made from a lovely lady in West Sussex, her name is Joyce, company Koala collars.  She made me adustable half check collars, and she also stitches any details onto the collar, as in your mobile phone contact details etc.  She was very reasonible, about £8.00 I think if I can remember rightly.  I'll pm you her phone number. I am sure she would be able to help you, with the size you are looking for.
Take care

I got a lovely purple/blue checked one from pets at home for £5.99 (adjustable) with a click fastening.
(That fits a G.Dane) :)

I can email you a picture of my girl's and go get you one if you live far.

(edit) just noticed you live in the uk lol here is the link to the store, it has a store locator so there should be one near.

Have a look on The Pet Planet website.  Link for a padded nylon one which I can recommend for a short coated dog.

There are plenty more on there if that is not suitable.

you could try this site i have the collars for my GSD's and they are great they are made from Neoprene which is the stuff that divers suites are made of which do not absorbe smelly oders.
http://www.bigdogleads.com/ they have great leads too its like walking on a bungee takes the strain if your dog decided to head for a bird. lol

The nearest pets at home store I know of is Lincoln. But there is a great place in Boston that you can get anything to do with dogs. I was in my element a few weeks ago when I nipped in to get some dog food!!!!!!!!
It depends where in Lincs you live Jackie

Spalding Lee, had just what I wanted at Manchester yesterday but not in big enough sizes. The collars are required for dogs that are being exported to carry the name and contact and also the fact that they are chipped, not needed for exercise purposes but they need to be over 26" and a minimum width of an 1". Because they are for identification purposes they need to be visible on both black and brown long coated dogs.

The place is at Antons Gowt. near Boston. It has everything, but the thinning scissors I bought from there were tooo cheep!!!!!!!! I dont think Beanos ears are ever going to be the same again!!!!!!!LOL
So, if all else fails, I would have a drive out there :)
I dont think there is a Pets at home any closer than the one in Lincoln. Noit that I use it.

We're looking for half-check collars with buckles, as opposed to the ones we've got which go over the dogs' heads - would this lady in Sussex be able to help? We can't find any stockists near us. Thanks.l
Cathy.

Hi Cathy

I'm not sure if she does the buckles, but there again I have never asked :-) She very good and does work with the client.  These collars have the plastc type quick release clasps, like on Haltis :-) I have used them now for 5 years and they wash up like new, haven't had a clasp break or anything. Her contact tel number is :- 01273 233980
