Hi everyone,
I am new here and have only posted once before. I just wanted to let you all know that my poor Saxon is a bit under the weather at the moment :(
My husband took him for a walk yesterday to our local park and whilst he was off the lead he cut one of the pads on his paw on a piece of glass. When he arrived home he was limping quite badly and bleeding a lot so we took him to the vets. Luckily there was no glass left in the cut and it was a clean slice so no stitches were necessary. However, he now sports a pink bandage (poor boy, think they ran out of blue) and an Elizabethan collar.
He isn't his usual self and is finding difficulty climbing the stairs, going through doorways etc. Hopefully he'll be OK soon, he is back at the vets on Friday and I hope his paw will be better by then.
JB :)
Ps Wanted to say this is a great forum and hope to join in more from now on.

Hi JB, I have a Saxon too and when he was hurt a few weeks ago I think I posted with the same title. Hope yours is better soon, pads are difficult to stich and difficult to heal. He will get used to his hood and the thing to suffer will be your legs. What breed is Saxon?

Hi Jackie,
Saxon is a staffie, what breed is your Saxon and is he better now?
My legs are getting a battering and my husband was stupidly wearing his shorts the other night -he quickly changed into trousers!

Oh gosh yes, Gent sitting in shorts with legs apart, very thought makes the eyes water. Mine is an Elkhound and yes he is better now, in fact, it turned out to be something totaly different to what the vet & I thought.
