I found this very interesting and thought I would share it :)
hereWhat do you all think? :)
I thought it was quite balanced although I disagree with looking for purebred parents with atypical temperaments, as people need to decide whether a breeds typical traits suit them. So if you dont want a vocal dog, dont get a GSD or a Dobe. Mind you after reading all about how unpredictable mixed dogs are said to be, I dont know if many people would be prepared to take the risk! We decided we didnt need a pedigree dog to be happy owners and did like the idea of giving a dog another chance at a loving home, so Morse is a pound dog. Funnily enough the kennel maids assessment of him is exactly right, bouncy, gentle, clever and full of mischief so Id rely on the rescues assessment rather than the breed characteristics shown in the example. Falling in love, having kids, taking on a dog/pup its all a risk when you think about it. :)

I agree too, congratts on a rescuing a dog :)

That was a really interesting debate, that was quite balanced. I think I'd agree with Sue and Lola though - having had both pedigrees & mixed - a dog will reward you whatever its ancestry. And variety, as they say, is the spice of life!
