Over Christmas my cat had a thing about lying in the Stella Artois box (it was open at the end rather than the top).  So as the Stellas are now finished I wondered if I put a blanket in it he would use it as a little house.  Bingo!  He loves it, a specialised cat house for free.  Okay, I know, call me tight .................. :D
Anyone else that thrifty???

One of our cats loves boxes - as soon as anything is unpacked, he's crawled into the box!  The only problem is, he does like to sharpen his claws on the cardboard, so they end up shredded, making a right mess.

Ususally I'm queen of thrift but I can't think of anything off the top of my head... although I did get reduced crimbo cards at tesco's today for 30p when they started at £1.99 :)

We are decorating our hallway and got spindles for the stairs at 10p each reduced from 2.99 each now thats what I call a bargain :D

We actually bought Noodles the cat her own little house for christmas ( a little red one with a roof on and everything- really cute) . She used it until one of the kids left an empty box open that had had their Trainers in :o

I made my cats a scratch tree (like the REALLY expensive ones you see ;) ) out of the inner tubes from carpet rolls which I got FREE from the local carpet shop, added a bit of MDF for the tops and bottoms and covered the whole lot with the left overs from my new carpet.  Hey Presto! a fabulous cat tree for practically nothing :D :D  It matches our decor and everyone thinks we spent a fortune   So far we've had it 10 years.

Ahh hahhh - I rest my case!  Funny but my sister mentioned something about her kids playing with the boxes rather than the presents!!!

Hey - I don't even drink the blinking Stella - it's the b/f's.  Case of wine doesn't go amiss though (but not the right kind of box for Harley)  :D
