Lovely, Just been watching the hulk (on and off) anyway the dog scene has just come up and im sure one of them was a staffy so a quick search reveals
""The dogs were handled by professional trainers and given verbal and visual cues to either stay on a mark or to move A to B. Several different breeds were used for the pack: a Poodle named Lili, Staffordshire Terrier Mix named Sammy, and a Mastif Mix named Smoke. The Hulkdogs were computer-generated super canines of the Digital Breed."" Source http://www.ahafilm.info/movies/moviereviews.phtml?fid=7512
What good publicity for the breed hey, now every 10 year old will want a staffy and the back garden breeders will be to happy to please cant wait to see the first add "For sale staffordshire bull terrier dog seen in Hulk £300"

im sure one of the dogs used, (ive not seen the film) was a cane corso, I remember seeing a link to the breeders site on another forum, but of course it is long gone now!!
Reminds me of when bloody Harry Potter came out. afterward there were adverts for Harry Potter dogs in the exchange and mart, can you imagine, a Neapolitan Mastiff in an inexperianced home!!!! I love a good Neo, but they are serious dogs for SERIOUS owners! :(

I actually thought it looked rather more like an American Staffordshire rather than the UK Standard

I thought they looked more American too. I loved the computer generated ones aswell ;)
And as for backyard breeders it seems like there is already an over bundance of these involving staffies :( Just look in the rescue centers and web pages to see hundreds of staffy and staffy crosses :( :( :(

Staffmad, they are cane corso x and are trained well, but it only makes joe blogs down the road think i want one of those big dogs and we are off with cane corso crosses every where, i hate it when films use animals,,.

Is that correct? its just that someone i talk to on another site said they were there on set and they were cane xs i dont know for sure as i just think its wrong no matter what breed.

joe lucero was apparently on a board the other week and confirmed that this was the case,as he did a lot of the training for the movie. He added that the dog in question was not actually his own,but was a lucero bandog.
Great looking dog.Just hope that there isnt a stampede by idiots to get their hands on any breed/type that looks similar.Just for us pro's I think.lol

thunderaxe, thanks for that info and yes lets hope that they dont start some thing once again thanks. :-)
well that aint goin to happen cos joe lucero doesnt sell his dogs to just anyone.and those lucky enough to have one of his bandogs have a wait of something like 5 yrs from what i hear!as that is the waiting list.
yes the dogs were definately his bandogs not corsos or pits etc.i have the footage with his dogs and his trainers getting into suits for the computer graphics to be worked on for the film.
