My beloved BC came from a rescue organisation so we don't know much about her background apart that she was part of an unwanted farm litter. It seems that she has very strong working instincts.
She loves to play and learn and impresses all that watch her with her skills (apart from walking on heel!!), but what is showing through more and more is her strong herding instinct.
Whenever we go out for walks she loves to run round us and round the field in huge circles. She also has learnt to run left or right on command. After watching One Man and His Dog over Christmas it was very obvious to see tha our little BC is doing all the moves of a working sheepdog.
Therefore I wondered if anyone knew if there were any training clubs in Beds or Herts where I could take her as I think she would really enjoy learning how to herd (although I am worried that I will let the side down!!!). She isn't interested in chasing (is this good / bad for a herding dog?? - I know its goods for us not to worry about it) and when she is doing her left, right, come, stop, down commands she is 100% focused on us (you can see her brain ticking over and she really enjoys it!).
If anyone can put me on the right track I would be very grateful!!! :)
