WHY DOES MY DOG CONSTANTLY DRINK FROM THE TOILET, SHE ALWAYS HAS FRESH WATER IN HER DISH

Someone forgot to put the lid down.

Dogs don't seem to like fresh water from the tap, they like water that has stood for a while or rain water. Not sure why the loo but your is not the first and won't be the last, make sure there are no chemicals.

Dogs yuck..  as long as the toliet is cleaned but no chemicals in it I can't see serious harm.. a bit gross though LOL

My westies sit at the side of our bidets and wait for someone to turn the tap on for them LOL one with get at either side.  :-)

Mine does that too. The thing that made me make sure the door is shut at all times is the fact that I have 3 young boys who, being typical males, do their wee and leave the seat up, and don't always flush! AARRGGHH, yes I caught him drinking out of the toilet when it wasn't flushed! YUCK!

And then there's my daft Bedlington who must have the tang of chlorine in his water bowl or he won't drink at all :D Of course, its different if he can get to a nice puddle or scuzzy bucket of water in the garden :rolleyes:

My friends SPanish loves to drink from the toilet and if the lid is down he lifts it up, YUCK  !! 

Bruno loves warm tap water or water out the kettle (once its cooled)  reason ?? god knows but hey he loves it and its cheap to keep him happy,

Would think because boiling turns water into distilled water by removing the lime and a good deal of the contaminants.

Glazby loves drinking bath water, regardless of temperature and whether its clean or not!!  Wish he enjoyed getting in the bath as much but unfortunately thats a whole different story!!

Bonnie was whining and digging behind the wash basin this morning - she was after a bar of coal tar soap and wouldn't let it go once she'd got it!!!!!!  Yuck!

Dogs like to drink toilet water because basically they are dogs and they're habits are minging.  I mean, they eat they're own pooh sometimes yuk!!!!!!!!!!!!  Keep lid down and door shut.

But toilet water is clean ?? it comes from the same pipe as your bath and drinking water its only minging if the water has human stuff in it or you dont clean your toilet regularly. 

Or if you have one of the bleach-blocks in the cistern ...
