I have a greyhound bitch (6yrs) who is showing signs of incontinence.  There are no other signs of ill-health, nor is the urine discoloured or pungent.  She is totally unaware of her "misdemeanours", and is not scolded.  When she is aware of her need to go, she will make this clear by presenting herself and whining.  She even has her own toilet area in the garden, which she uses without fail.  There have been no significant changes to her "routine".  She was speyed about 2 years ago, and I've recently become aware of the existence of a condition known as "spey incontinence".  I have heard rumours that greyhounds are particularly prone to this problem.  One source states that as many as 1 in 5 speyed bitches are affected.  Not surprisingly, there would seem to be some reticence among vets (particularly if they carried out the speying) to acknowledge this condition.
I am interested in hearing from others who have some experience or knowledge of this condition, particularly involving greyhounds / lurchers.  Whether you believe a condition of "structural incontinence" may be due to speying?  Whether you feel adequate information is made available on this topic?  What remedies (if any) have been succesful?
Meanwhile . . . I've bought some new wellies!

Ask you vet for Propaline. You put so many drops in food. My old girl Fleur used to have it and worked a treat.

It is not that uncommon but it is often unnoticed as the bitch who is aware will attempt to clean up. Vets are able to give several different sorts of medication to help the bitch and if the first does not work try something else. It is sometimes worse at the time the bitch would normally have had a season, well at least that is what I found with my bitches. Also make sure the inside of the bitches leg is not becoming urine burned if it is the sort of cream used on babies for the same reason will help.
