A friend of mine had a litter of springer pups 10 weeks ago and to his horror, nearly all the people who said they wanted one changed their minds and because he never took a deposit for them he had to advertise them.
When people ring up they are enthusiastic until they ask if they are working or show lines, he says the fathers pedigree has field champions in it and the bitches lines were crufts winners, they change their mind and don't go round to view even.
Is it so wrong for their to be both types of bloodlines in there?
The pups themselves are beautiful.

You tend to find a devide in the show springer and the working springer, i ran a springer on for the police and he was a solid, well muscled lad but didnt look anything like a show springer, you tend to like either one or the other, and it also depends on weather you want to show it or work it, sol who i had is now with customs and excise and having only been working for 4 months has already found his first batch of illigal substance so i am very pleased, but i did use to show him as well but didnt get anything in breed classes because he was very much a working type dog so perhaps that is why people were put off, because they have a bit off both in there lines!.

I know what you mean, but it is funny that in the litter there were definite show types and working types!
So they could at least of had a look, the pick of the litter is still there, nobody seems to have picked up on the fact that she is showing such promise, the working types have gone first (only two) left and they may keep one or both.
