I am looking for advice/reassurance. Just phoned my Mother to confirm everything was OK with her new puppy. She was at the vets today for her first injection. Vet also gave her my mother a second worming tablet to be taken in a weeks time (she has misheard him and given it to her tonight.) This is only a week after her getting her first dose.

Just wondering on a course of action. Need we be concerned, what effect is it likely to have on the pup.

She is a Cavalier King Charles, 8 weeks old on Saturday gone with her first worm dose on the 30/12.

Hi Jan,

You don't mention the wormer by name so get your mum to ring the vet in the morning just to check, but the safety margin of most modern wormers is wide, so it is most unlikley that any harm has been done.

PS - the pup will also need another tablet in a week or two weeks because this one was too early
