Topic Dog Boards / Visitors Questions / Starting to have accidents

My puppy. who has always done well at toilet training, has taken to having accidents in the house - even after a short period of time. It is not happening a lot at the moment, however I do not wish it to get any worse. The other day, he pooped in the middle of the stairs whilst we were in the kitchen eating. He is not allowed around the table when we eat, as he sniffs at the table, however he is still right next to us and can see us all. I thought that it was happening because he was in another room to us, however he has just had a wee on the rug, even though my son was sitting on the settee in the same room. He is now ten months old, and this has just started happening in the last couple of weeks. Any help would be appreciated.
