Good for you, Karen! Now you  can throw away the knitting needles you used to poke down your cast and let rip! :D

Glad to hear you've got your cast off. Remember my boss? She broke her wrist (and thumb) about the same time as you. Well, she has to go in for another op. It seems the cast was not tight enough and it 'wore away' the tendon on her thumb. :( She is going in to have one of her tendons moved from her finger and re-attached to her thumb

Thaks Lorelei......Ahhh...Now that's better...I tell you my arm looks manky. All dried skin etc and I didn't think there was a lot of sun about, but my left arm in now white compared to my right :)

I'm sorry for you Boss, I had a problem with cast NO 3 I think it seemed to loose to me I went back to the hospital and they said fine....I said I don't think so...so following morning I went back to the trauma clinic the Doctor there said "Too Loose" and sent me to be re-plastered. He said I could have had big problems if I hadn't stuck to my guns. Similar to your Boss possibly.

Tell her good Luck, and not to forget the wet wipes when she goes to be replastered It's the only opportunity I had to wash my arm/hand....pheww I know ;)

Karen just be careful about going back to work.  Unless they have signed you fit for work again then your employer should refuse to allow you on the premises as they will not be covered by insurance if anything happens to you.  If you have been signed off you need a doctors note signing you 'back on' so to speak otherwise your employer will be breaking the law by allowing you to return to work.

Thanks Lisa,

I have been back to the Doctor today and told him I WANT to go back. He said he will have to contact the hospital Doctor first.....Lord help me.....

Glad you are feeling okay now Karen. :)

Knowing me I would probably go back to work and then after a couple of days wish I had stayed home as long as I could - and I like my job :p :p but I like BBC morning programmes as well. :)
