I have a GSD puppy, what is the average or even perhaps the earliest age that she may come into Season. 

I understood 6 months old, but she is beginning to pay a little attention to her 'private area' and I wondered if this might be normal?   She is 5 months and one week old.

It is very unlikely to be before 6 months. She may have a urine infection though, so keep a very close eye on her.

My friend has a GSD who is about 7 months (born the 25. of may), and she started her season on new years eve! I have a labrador, 9 months, and she hasn't started her season yet, so its very individual

I would also say, that it is probably a urine infection. Take her to your vet!

I have a dobermann whos DOB is 21st may 2003 and at just 7 months came into season on 19th dec i thought it was too early as did
my breeder but every dog has there own time.
