i have a 16 wk old springer spaniel male which we rescued at 12  wks we have now brought a 8 wk old  old english sheepdog  male it is day two the springer has let the pup take everything off him sleep in his bed but when the pup moves he wants to play and barks at the pup the pup seems to hold its own and if the springer gets to rough he tells him off and the springer backs off but keeps barking not quite so bad today any advice

Two puppies????  My goodness, you are brave..........
It's early days yet, but beware of the Springer getting too much for the OES.  At the moment it seems he's listening (the barking is excitment - when it stops getting a reaction from anyone, he'll stop doing it) but he may push his luck, and this may scare the OES :(

Have to agree, two pups will have to have their enthusiasm curbed else someone, probably the OES, will get injured. Most adult dog seem to know when to call a halt, but pups will go on and on.
