Hi guest, it is great that you love your boy so much and would like a friend but please remember 'double trouble'    If you want to get another one I would suggest you get a pup and bring him up your way, dogs are in rescue for a reason and also your boy is much less likely to accept an older dog than a pup. You only get out what you put in.
One of my chocs is 6yrs old and still not calmed down, they are all individuals tho'
Regards Debbie.

Hi & your right about John, he certainly knows what he's talking about.
I think it's great that you're considering rehoming an older dog, I agree with Debbie it would be good to start from scratch & bring up a pup just how you want to, but if everyone did that who would rehome older dogs in rescue? There are some lovely dogs that go through rescue & quite often through marriage break ups / working hours / new baby & so on, so it's not always behavioral or health problems with the dog why they need a home.
I think Mattie who posts here is involved with Lab rescue.

Good luck.  :)

Your right Snoopy and of course quite a few come with a full history, so guest may be lucky. I hope so :)  In one of the Free papers this weekend 'Lab pups free to good home, 8wks old, no room and have a baby'  makes my blood boil. I know that Lab rescue do occasionally have young pups.
Good luck Guest :)
