I hope this is the right board for this sort of question. I am looking for a dome studed staffordshire bull terrier collar, and a dome studed lead that are resonably priced, can any one help me with finding them as i think it will be a nice compliment to my new staffy(when i get it!)

Hi
two good websites for dress collar and leads are
hide and collar and also
a & e collarsThey have quite a choice and will even make one up to your own design.
I wouldnt waste money on a fancy collar for pup just yet as he/she will grow out of it too fast.
Try a local petshop for a puppy collar for now

ok then thanks for the help i will have a look on them sites. i suppose it would be a stupid idea to buy one for a pup wont it, and theres plenty of cheap pup collars out there. so im told!

you will need to wait till pup is adult before buying an expensive collar since staffies come in many shapes and sizes so one size collar will not fit all.

There is a good Staffy website called Staffords.co.uk and you should be able to access both of the collar sites from the front page on there.
If you have a Wilkinsons store near you they sell cheap collars and leads for pups. We had a tiny black one with silver studs for Gus's first collar but always check the clasps on cheap leads so they dont come undone easily
What are you calling pup by the way ??

you tell me! theres been a lot of debating about the name, i like the name bella, as my mum and dad had a dog called that years ago and i think its a nice name for a dog, someone suggested max and someone else suggested katie, although the final descision is down to me i have not yet decided what to call it. if any one has any good suggestions for name feel free to let on, as it will be great help for the name picking.

My bitch pup was called Missy.
I stuck to the plain collars but when we go out visiting they each have a collar with the stafford knot on it and they look really smart. They cost me £25.00 each from my local pet store.
Staffords come in all sizes and you just have to go with something that suits your dog.
I bought a leather puppy collar and lead set from my local pet store for £3.50 and she looked really cute. She was dark brindle and the red showed up really well on her. It was a great buy as when she went to her new home at 7 weeks she was already partially collar and lead trained and they didn't have to worry about going and buying her a set.
Whatever you decide all the best for you and your new pup for the future and wish you many happy days of fun :)
