i am in desperate need of any willing bullmastiff breeders with a heart. i am now logged in under a new name as my old one would not work and i used champdogs before with a problem but have stayed away since as i felt people were very critical and quick to judgement and i am hoping this time will be different. the story from the beginning, i desperatly searched high and low for a bullmastiff bitch puppy as i knew the breed, had researched on the internet and already had a crossbreed male which is fantastic. i wanted to be able to learn to show and hopefully have something to contribute to what i think is a wonderful breed in the furture, and yes possibly breed at some point. now i know existing breeders are not keen on people taking up breeding and fel it is all done on a whim but for me this is not the case. i did however make a huge mistake when buying my first bullie girl Paris, i saw an advert for bullmastiff puppies with full pedigree and innoculations wormers etc done for £550.00. i phoned and asked all the usual questions and was told what i wanted to hear but that the breeder had broken her leg and so the sister was caring for the litter, and there was a delay in their k.c papers arriving because of this. i did at this point become suspicious as mum and dad were not available to veiw due the sisters condition, and so i contacted them again and explained my views and they gave me mum amd dads registered names and numbers so i could phone the kennel club and they would then vouch for them and that they were registered breeders with no problems. i done all of this and went to meet my fawn bitch who was 10 weeks old and was amazed at just how clean and a good weight she was, i have to say she was sleepy but was reassured that this was because she had just been fed. i paid the price asked and took her home but within 24hrs i had severe doubts about her as she seemed to have trouble breathing and was so bloated, i took her to the vets who said she was full of worms but apart from that she was fine. i explained that i was concerned about her jaw and her breathing but they said this was fine to, although slightly undershot this would adjust as she got older. Paris is 9 months old now and her jaw is over an inch undershot with her teeth being unable to grow properly, she has a tongue that is to big for her mouth and her nasel passages will not open properly, she is happy and so very loving but her behaviour recently has caused concern and on investigation she has slight brain damage also. there are also other problems but to cut short , i have been given the option of having her pts for her own saftey and health. my heart is broken as will be my childrens, i have not yet given up on my dream and since managed to get a another bitch puppy who starts her ringcraft this week and her breeder was fantastic and very understanding to my plight as others had been very quick to judge me. Paris is my responsibility and ialot of people said i should of sold her on quick to regain my money, but i would of never done that and in a way glad that she came to me because i dread to think where she might of ended up. the breeder of Paris however is another matter as on finding out the severity of her problems i contacted my insurance who said it was not there responsibilty as it was  birth defects and so i should contact the breeder, but guess what changed numbers no longer exist where i got her from totally dissaperred. i went back to the kennel club only to find out that although her registered breeder was the name i gave the address was in wales and that this persons mother bred alot of breeds but as long as the paper work was correct there was nothing the kennel club could do. i have since been researching on the net to try and trace them and have now come across other older male dogs that have the same mother of Paris and were all bred by the same person. my request is simple i am trying to trace the breeder. i apologise for how long this is but i hope you understand that i do not want anyone else to got through what i am or any other dog and i feel this bitch should not be being bred from. any information is appricited, thank-you.
