My 12 week old puppy has today become very snorty and snuffly and is sleeping a lot more than normal, his eyes are not as bright as usual and he just isn't himself.  I have spoken to the Vet and he has just send he probably has a sniffle and to let him rest and give him bland food.  He has eaten some NaureDiet just now (I just gave him half his usual amount) and ate that with his usual gusto.
Do you think this could be a sign of something serious or just a sniffle as the Vet says.  I will quite happily call the Vet out if necessary

Kennel cough?  At 12wks I would want anti-biotics treatment if he were mine.  If you take him back to the vet, don't take him into the waiting room, ask them to see him in the car to minimise the risk of infecting others.  Don't reduce his food, feed him normally, a puppy that is not well needs all the support it can muster.  Hope he gets better soon.

Thanks Dawn, I keep thinking kennel cough, though he isn't coughing like kennel cough.  He is snuffling and snorting but I suppose it could be a variant.  He ate well this morning and slept through the night no problem and the lethargy seems to have passed, he does sleep a lot normally so it is hard to tell!  I think I will wait for tomorrow providing everything stays the same and he doesn't go downhill at all.
Isn't it just sods law though, I have had him nearly 6 weeks and he gets this just 1 week before he is due to start puppy classes! B****r!
