To find out about shows the dog papers are a good start.  There are two, dog world and our dogs.  Some large supermarkets sell them or newsagents will get them in for you.

Also try and find a ringcraft training club in your area (not obedience)  they may not be one but its worth a try.  Most will be registard with the kennel club so you can give them a call.

You can go to shows without your dogs if you wish but if you want to take your dogs then you will have to enter them.

Assuming you got your dogs from breeders, it is likly they show so you could contact them for more information about breed club shows.

Oh heres something someone said to me recently, dog showings like pringles, once you pop you can't stop! and most people will agree its true!

hope you have fun with your dogs, why don't you join the boards for more advice, everyone is always willing to help new comers!

Hi Guest

Can you get to Ardingly (South of England Showground) as they often have shows there but I don't theink there are any this weekend.  No doubt one of our more regular show-goers will be able to tell you when the next one is

There is one however at Maidstone (Agricultural Hall) tomorrow starting at 10am.  You are too late to enter but would be able to see what was going on and probably pick up schedules for forthcoming shows

Hi Guest
www.prodogs.co.uk also lists all the breed and general shows for this year on the site.
If you pop along to a show without your dogs and just take a look at what goes on - how the dogs are stood , walked, handled etc and maybe get talking to a few exhibitors.
If you think you woul like to have a go then take your dogs to ringcraft classes where they can teach you how to behave in the ring.
Good luck :)
