Topic Dog Boards / General / ears on a French Bulldog puppy
- By Judith [ca] Date 31.12.03 18:39 UTC
Hello,
I have a 3 month old French Bulldog....his name is Basil and he is a doll!  His ears are straight up and have been since 8 weeks of age and he is just perfect.....the tips of both ears are both bending back...was just wondering if this was normal or what. I appreciate any info. on this.
thank you

The ears will go back and forth, they will bend back at the tips sometimes even more then the tips bend backwards....I usually say by about 1 year of age their ears should be standing erect by this time....I noticed mine (boston terriers) would be standing straight then one day one is up and the other isn't. I noticed alot of change when they were teething. I wouldn't worry about it to much Basil is still a little puppy and they will change back and forth. Just don't bend them and stuff because you can ruin the cartilage.

Enjoy your little pup, Frenchies are soooooooooo cute :)
