Hi everyone havent been on for a while,

I had a strange experiance a few nights ago took Bruno out for a toilet stop and a neighbour from a few houses away was out with a 11week staffy bitch, anyway we chatted for a bit and he asked if i would put bruno with his bitch when she is ready, Bruno is 16 weeks now, both have full pedegrees and KC  but id never put any thought to having a stud dog i just got got him as a pet and my fiancee said she wouldnt mind it if we got a bitch (say in about a year)  and maybe breed (obviousely this would be very well planned.

What advice would you give for mating your dog with someones you met on a walk would you go through with it ? I wouldnt want pick of the litter.

Run?  Don't do it?

At 11 and 16 weeks old you have no idea whether they will even be suitable enough specimens to reproduce when adults.   Neither will have full sets of adult teeth yet or even know if they will get them and missing teeth are a no-no for breeding as they are difficult to get back and ultimately change the face shape.

If your breeders were responsible both your registration documents will have been endorsed as "progeny not for breeding" to try to prevent just this sort of situation from happening?

Try doing a search under "stud" or "breeding" to get some more information

Three little words of advice
DONT DO IT!!!

As mentioned neither of you know what the others pup will turnout like and neither of you have any idea at present of either pups lineage and what lines will be more suited when it comes to breeding.

People like this bitches owner make me absolutely mad !!! Why does everyone automatically want to be a breeder when they buy a pup??? :( :( :(
Christine has offered very good advice as to seek information from your own breeder and dont rush into things .

It seems particulary bad for staffies at the minute - I had people saying they would let me use ther dog as a stud before I even had a breeder picked out to buy a staff from

In saying that Dizzy is 11 weeks now and complete strangers are asking me if I'm going to breed her... have you ever heard anything so stupid?
