Awhile ago I saw a book on Amazon .co.uk on Whelping & breeding. When I was at LKA at a book stand & saw the same book it was spiral bound which I thought was a brillant idea, once I'd seen it in the flesh I thought YES I get it but decided to try Amazon because it might have been cheaper. Ive now searched the Amazon & it doesnt seem to be there it fact I cant find it anywhere. Apart from it been spiral bound I think it had a red dog on the front Weirmara(sp) type look about it. Can anyone shed any light on this puzzle as to where it might be. Next hope keep looking at the shows. I know now I should have had an impulsive buy moment when I saw it, I did buy another book though.

I have a book entitled 'The whelping & rearing of puppies - a complete & practical guide' by Muriel P Lee, published by TFH Publications Inc.
It has a spiral binding & glossy, waterproof pages but has a picture of dalmatian pups suckling on the cover so I don't know if it's the same one as you're on about.
I got mine in Pets at Home a few years ago & it's been very good.  It's along the same lines as 'The book of the bitch' which is also very helpful.
I find the spiral binding helps the book stay open on the relevant page in the event of an emergency etc, leaving both hands free which is a bit better than the book of the bitch which you have to hold open with one hand.  However both books are very informative.

I have the same book and mine has a pale Lab & litter on the front, the wipe clean pages are a good idea but the content is written from an American viewpoint. It's a TFH pblication and the ISBN number is 0-7938-0497-3. Had it so long can't remember where it came from.

Amazon do have the book at £11.16 - 6 day delivery. I entered the words Whelping and Rearing and up it poped.

I suppose it is different to a "blue" (more fainting and swooning) :D

not really sure what breed it is tohme :) it looks like a weim but is red in colour not a bred i have seen before, anyone know what it could be? :)

Thanks all. Of course a viz. Try pets at home tomorrow. I wonder if its the same book the lab & viz but different editions. Ive seen the one with the Lab on amazon so if its the same ill get that. TA
