Topic Dog Boards / Health / snotty nose
- By andy_s_80 [gb] Date 28.12.03 21:41 UTC
as some of you will be aware, i went to my mums and ended up bringing her ill treated westie home with me (on xmas day). i have noticed that she seems to have a snotty nose - it has improved over the last couple of days but has left a crusty yellow layer around her nose.

Ive never heard of a dog getting a cold or anything similar so was wondering if this is a sign of anything more serious? as i say it has improved greatly just in the last 3 days (now she isnt living outdoors anymore)

Hi Andy
It can sometimes be a variant of kennel cough . They can get snotty or wheezy rather than coughing. Not wanting to worry you but it is best to get it checked out just incase.
How is Holly getting along with Kara ? Hope all is well

yeah, we are going to have a visit with the vet anyway, just to check her over etc.

we've had a couple of little scuffles - mainly down to kara not leaving the poor sod alone.

is going far better than i expected.
