I got one for xmas - a Kenwood one - but I haven't unpacked it as I'm not sure its the right one...
I want one which will do smoothies, using bananas and strawberries, but also do citrus fruit and tomatoes etc.. :)
Does anyone have one which does both? The instructions on mine say I need a citrus juicer for oranges - but I don't want 3 appliances in the kitchen just for this (juicer, blender, citrus juicer), is there one that does the lot?

Bought a Magimix juicer two years ago, used it about 7/8 times for liquidising fruit/veg for raw feeding, but gave up because its a bleedin' nightmare to clean the mesh. Not answering your question but just something else to consider... ease of cleaning ;)

Suggestion - take it back to the shop, get your money back and spend it on something you really really want. Now you didn't really really want a kitchen appliance for christmas did you????????????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I once got a toaster for christmas and I've never forgiven/forgotten ;0).

:D :D
I am guilty of telling my 9 year old daughter I wanted one...so thats why I got one :) And I do want one... I think.... LOL

Uh huh well forgiven then lol. Tell your daughter it wasn't working properly and spend the proceeds in La Senza or Pets at Home :D (i'm practising the smileys!).

Hi Chloe
I don't want to put a damper on your enthusiasm but I got a juicer - not the one on Tv but a good one. It cost a fortune to run. :)
I used to buy loads of fruit and made a big jug full - mmmmm delicious. It took less than 5 mins to drink it and them about an hour to clean up the damn thing!!! :D
The problem is the juice is delicious. You feel good about getting all those vitamins down your family ( mine didn't really eat much fruit before). Then you feel ambitious and buy all sorts of (costly) exotic fruit! It doubled my Tesco bill!! :D

We got a citrus press with my new food processor. So far we have only used it once, when we got a lot of cheap oranges from the supermarket. Five oranges (reduced price 30p) produced 1 (large) glass of lovely juice :) I don't intend to use it again unless I can get reduced price fruit :( In my opinion the juicers are a rip-off - they don't tell you how much it will cost to make a glass of juice. Fortunately I didn't know that I was getting the citrus press with my mixer, so am happy only to use it when fruit is cheap.

I found the same thing, kenwood one doesn`t do citrus & the magimix one is a bugger to clean! Don`t use them anymore, so if anyone knows of one that does both & is easy to clean I might consider getting it cos the juice is dleicious :D
