I have a 10 month old cocker spaniel bitch, Im hoping to breed her in the future but can anyone tell me what the best age is to breed and how to find the right mate or any other advice as ive only just begun to look into it?

I think you first need to think of the reasons WHY you feel you should breed her and then take it from there

A lot of your questions would be answered if you entered your bitch into a few shows and got talking to the other breeders. If she starts winning then consider if you could improve upon her by a suitable mating and look for a dog with the qualities she might be lacking in.

If your motivation is to either make money or because someone told you it would be good for her then get her spayed after her next season and enjoy your pet.
