I am looking to find a dog, in Canada it is called a Lynoise. It is a mix of the maltese terrier and the yourshire terrier. Does anyone know abou them and where I can find out more information about finding one? Please email me if you know anthing about this mix at stuandjody@ukonline.co.uk.

The local rescue would seem a good starting place.

What would be the advantage of this crossbreed over a purebred Yorkie or a purebred Maltese?

It should be considderably cheaper. As a mongrel it should be possibly between a quarter and half the price maximum. You would have no way of knowing it it would take after the Maltese or the Yorkshire terrier.

Thereagain, it might be considerably more expensive - Rarity  value!!!

Surely only really stupid people believe that a crossbreed is more valuable (financially) than a pedigree? ;)

Have to agree JG, if you buy a pure bred dog you know to within a small margin what you are going to get, as with a cross breed you have know idea it could be almost anything and of any size and temperament.
