We were at our friends (met them through the pups) yesterday they have two of our pups different litters, the one is fixed  2 years old male the other is still intact male a year old. I was petting him and he was fine till hubby came over and gave him a kiss and he started peeing (little squirts) hit my socks :(, later that evening hubby was petting him and he did it again hit his hand :D. The other time he was laying on the couch on his back and I was rubbing his tummy and he started peeing again little squirts. They said that he just started this and did that to their cousin who was just petting him and he started peeing on her leg. He never use to do that, he is house trained and just lets it out no matter how he is standing or laying. When he was a bit younger he did mark where ever he could but I helped them on that one and all is well, now he started this. He is very friendly, loves people and children, gets on fine with other dogs. Could he start a submisive pee now, do you think if they fixed him would it help? I told them to get his urine checked to make sure there is no infection at all and all is well. Just can't figure out why all of a sudden he would start this, the other one is great never marked in the house at all.

He's reaching a stage where a mature adult could be in doubt of his status, so the submissive weeing helps to define his perceived position.......

We stopped the marking indoors, but what can they do to get him to stop this?....Nothing more unpleasent then petting a dog and he starts peeing, you can be holding him and cuddling him and he will just start peeing lil squirts, yuck. Any help to solve this type of behaviour would be greatlt appreciated since I'm at a loss....They were wondering if fixing him would work, do you think it might?
