my 9 week old staffy  bits absolutely everything, she has ripped up carpets , pulled wallpaper off the walls but all this we were aware of when buying her, she is very spoilt as she  is able to sleep where she wants and go where she wants in the house, however, she still nipping at us and has in some cases caught the children, she does understand soft biting as, she will gently nibble your hand but when playing will bite quite hard , how can we help her to stop this, any advice please

You need to get her in the obedience class. Nipping is biting. You have to train her firmly and tell her over and over again NO .

Does your dog has toy's for playing or chewstuff? Dogs tend to chew until age of 2 years But some breeds love to chew their intire live.

Get a crate and crate the dog. You can not control your dog 24 hours. It is easy also for housebreaking the pup. Put plenty of chewstuff in the crate , some people do have food and water in it as well.

I wish you good luck.

We have a similar situation at home with our puppy. Staffy's have powerful jaws, but you should feel our bulldog! Our pup has two sides to her. The happy, snoring, dopey, docile, puppy where you can put your finger in her mouth if you wanted to and she wouldn't react...and then when she has a hyper fit, a bitey, snarly terror who has to be locked in the crate for time out!
I really recommend getting a crate for a puppy, it keeps them safe and it is somewhere they can be put when being very destructive. I have a sleeping den crate in the living room and a "time out" crate in the hall for when she is being too naughty. Mind you as I type this she is lying on hubby's chest on the sofa having a snoring competition. :)

with regards to the biting this is quite common behaviour in pups. Their little needle teeth make it feel worse too . :o  It should lessen as the adult teeth come through and pup loses the baby needle teeth.
Keep on saying NO firmly when pup does this so she knows you arent happy with her behaviour . They can become very exciteable too which is when you need to make sure you supervise when pup and children are paying together . It doesnt mean you have an aggressive dog in the making but you do need to make sure that children and pup dont get each other too excited as this is when accidents can happen.
With regards to the destructive behaviour unfortunately some staffies are "chewers" although neither of mine have been luckily. Make sure pup has plenty of tough toys to chew on ( kongs etc). Gus is also allowed anywhere in the house (as long as we are with him) and he doesnt chew anything that isnt his so that shouldnt really be a factor. Although until pup is older maybe you should limit her to maybe one or two rooms and keep as much as possible out of access
Good luck :)
