Feeding the dogs this evening i had a man ring the bells to gain acsess to the kennel area of my backyard, and upon greeting me he said he wished to hand in his two dogs, one of which is a puppy of 13 weeks old, the other is a year old Bandog.
Reasons for giving up the puppy were, it was not what his family had expected and he was having to move out out of his house due to the breakdown of his relationship, i had to call upon my mother and fathers help, as i have no where to kennel the Neo Mix due to having a fire at the kennels, my mother and father have kennelled him in their dog run outside (hardly ideal i know, but at least i now he is safe), the puppy is adorable, and has been playing for most of the evening tearing around the place as if she already owns it, she has been innoculated he handed over all her paperwork, pedigree generation certificate, registration documents.
He had paid big money for for her, over a £1000 i belive, and without what seems any thought just handed her over, and signed the relevent paperwork placing her in my care.
Feeling sad now, as i have had time to reflect on the days events, and these are what it seems christmas`s first casualities, and another sad thing that got me were he mentioned these two dogs were the start of his plans for breeding his own Bandog stock :(

I saw from the Daily Mail yesterday that a 10 week old mongrel puppy was dumped on one of Glasgow's busiest streets in the small hours of Christmas morning.   At least this guy that gave up his dogs handed them in, had this pup not been found, it would have probably been dead by midday.

Its horrible to hear but at least he took the dogs to someone like you.  He could have just thrown them out on the streets.

No doubt many more dogs will be going into rescue homes:(

:( Oh Dean, I don't know how you can deal with these IDIOTS day after day :(

What on earth were his family expecting the pup to be? A pony? Remote control pooch? These idiots make me really mad.

Do you think you'll be keeping her or rehoming? What is she? Dizzy has gained lots of confidence over the past couple of weeks and I imagine by 13 weeks she'll have the family completly trained
