As most of you know, our old lady Purdey is a 13 and half year old labrador - and this time last week I was posting that we were afraid that she wouldn't make Christmas.... well she has - and - true to form - has STOLEN the remains of a Terry's Chocolate Orange !

The evidence - the wrapper tucked in her bed!   Adrian worked out that it would have been 2 or 3 segments at the most - two years ago she pigged out on 3 advent calanders and a selectoin box & felt rather sorry for herself for a couple of days afterwards.    This year, quite frankly, I'm so pleased to have her still, and recognising that it probably IS her last Christmas - if she'd wanted the whole thing, I think I would almost have given it to her!

Well margot,

I'm having the same problem only in reverse, with Oscar (the excessive drinking cat) Father Christmas brought Sal a new bed you know the hard plastic type in a lovely cherry red colour, Sal sat in it for oh about 2 minutes got out to greet a visitor. Cats moved in Sal responded by sitting on the brand new bean bag Father Christmas brought for the cats.
So yesterday I had cats in large hard dog bed, the dog on much smaller soft cat bean bag :D

Today I decided to intervene in the Christmas bed war and went back to Pet City and brought another larger bed put it in the conservatory (loved by everyone) and what did they do; they all moved "high rise fashion" Sal and Oscar on the bottom, and Cleo asleep on the top of them onto the small bean bag cat bed ;)

No-one in either of the dog beds. Very temped to get in one myself :D
Christmas eh :)
