Fear you may well have left this too late, you have not allowed the stud dog owner enough time to check your bitch out, or if it comes to it for you to check the stud dog either. Is this a working bitch if so the best place to look would be within the working fraternity if it is a pet or show dog I would suggest you wait till her next season and in the interim ask for help from the bitches breeder or one of the breed clubs.

To be honest, if you need to ask on here for a suitable stud dog, then you do not have enough knowledge about your breed to thinking of mating your bitch responsibly. Firstly, is your bitch a Lakeland Terrier or a Fox Terrier? As far as I am aware, there is no such breed as a Lakeland Fox Terrier - unless this is a deliberate working cross?
Do as Jackie suggests. Spend the next 6 months researching the breed & suitable lines \& also to decide if your bitch is actually good enough to be worth breeding from.
