Well......... hubby has got his dates for leave and he will be home on xmas eve, hopefully!
I know he is feeling home sick now and is quite upset about certain tasks he has been asked to perform(killing feral, rabied dogs). The kids dont know when he is home so i am hoping to give them a surprise when he turns up.So he will have 14 days at home then back Iraq until the end of april.

Hi Margot,
I think he will be more excited at the prospect of his own bed,we probably wont even see him for 2 weeks as he will be sleeping!! :D we had been given so many different dates i just stopped telling the kids,so they think he is coming home in april.Iknow he is missing the dogs a lot and they miss him aswell, the girls have got used to him not being here,i hope this doesnt disrupt their new routine!
3 days and counting.
Merry Christmas to the guy's and gal's who will be staying over there.

Seeing as it is Christmas, most routines go out the window then, don't they? What will probably happen is that you won't get any time alone in your bed - bet the girls want to be in there as well!!
Margot
So pleased for you, Mel :) Bet it will be the kids best Christmas present.

I think we will be having a really long lie in Xmas day(not)!!But maybe a late breakfast?
I know that my eldest is upset because Jason miss her 6th birthday, but hopefully being home for xmas will cheer them all up.The girls send him ebluey's and because you cant send pictures through these they have been doing their own symbol's such as <3 is a love heart for him(they like to draw a lot)then the usual smilies etc.
Here's hoping the dates dont change
Merry Christmas to you all,and thank you for your words
