As we head towards xmas spare a few minutes if you have an elderly neighbour please give them a thought. Maybe if you have a few minutes on xmas day to spare you could spend five minutes with them

Thats so true.

This year we have no family coming over and a friend of ours who has one of our pups has no family left unfortantly and her friends who she normally spends xmas with have gone on a xmas holiday.  So this year we invited her and her dog over for xmas.

I think that if anyone just went to visit an earderly neigbour they would be very grateful for it, even if it is only 5 mins.  Just think maybe one day you will spend xmas on your own.

As jean says spare a few minutes.

Rox I think that is a lovely gesture & I hope you have a lovely day. Jim & I were going to have Christmas on our own & were looking forward to it. Jims mum is in a nursing home & is now coming home for the day, so our plans have all changed.
Have a lovely Christmas

Because the local authority do not run meals on wheels at Christmas and New Year the local churches all get volunteers to make an extra meal for an elderly person that they alocate you.

My Dad and his wife do all 3 days, and I get to go and sit and chat while they have their dinner.

I work for meals on wheels and we are delivering meals and a party bag including a bottle of wine to all those who dont have family or have family who cant be bothered to look after them.
