I cook coley (sp?) fish in my microwave for my kittens which they love but the smell it leaves behind is awful, it seems no matter how much I clean my microwave whenever I use it afterwards this horrid fishy smell starts wafting about again, I wouldnt mind but im a total veggie and its quite off putting when all my veggie microwave meals have a fishy aroma 

Does anyone know how to get rid of this grim smell ? or is it possible to feed the fish raw to the kittens ?

Maybe you could buy a little milk pan & steam it on the cooker. HTH. Don't know about your microvave though, someone else maybe help you.

Unfortunately my new kitchen is in my garage - along with my cooker, waiting for the kitchen fairy to fit it :rolleyes: so I only have a microwave at the moment - great excuse not to cook crimbo dinner though :D :D

You can feed fish raw to kittens and cats.

Bicarbonate Soda is the cheapest and most effective odour remover in microwaves, fridges, shoes, carpets etc etc

Thanks for your reply, ill have to invest in some bicarbonate soda.  I will try them with it raw, no doubt they will prefer it that way anyway :)

Put a bowl of water in the microwave with half a lemon in it and switch on full power for 2 mins (I think it was 2 mins if not try longer) The steaming water helps loosen any grime and the lemon gets rid of any odours.  Guess who watched 'How clean is your house the other week'  I needed to as have the outlaws over for Xmas day and Mrs 'Bucket' will not appreciate that when you open either a kitchen cupboard or the fridge you will always find dog hairs :)
