Further to my post about bitter apple spray , think I may need to consider doggy boots .
Can anyone recommend any good ones that can be worn outside and are therefore waterproof for this miserable weather
They would also need to be fairly sturdy and not easily taken off by Gus . Wet weather seems to make his itchy paws worse plus I dont want infection setting in from where he has licked them . It always seems to be one particular paw too.
Anyone ???

I was actually wondering whether boots might help Purdey - unhappily for her, we have changed from carpet to tiled floors through most of the house - she doesn't like staying in the dining room all the time & if anyone has any experience of whether boots would give her extra "traction" I would appreciate it!

Hi Margot,

Bree has the same problem as Purdey, as regards 'traction' on un-carpeted floors. Someone on here did mention a paw wax, which aids the traction, sorry I can't help with names etc, as I'm still looking for it myself; but if Purdey is anything like Bree, she will not tolerate boots :(

Best Wishes

That's what I'd be afraid of!  I did try pad wax - apart from making the floor look even more disgusting than usual :( - all it meant was that Purdey collected lots of fluff on her feet - so that was a no-go too.   Think I'll have to have the floor covered in a tasteful carpet of vet bed for Purds! :D :D

Mmm.... hadn't thought about those waxy paws picking up fur and fluff, nor the waxy pawprints on the floor  :(  :(

Oh well! Back to the drawing board :D
