Anne-Marie, (or anyone else capable of helping me)
I need to know whether the 'Plasma fluid' extracted from the dog was injected into the pups' "veins or musles"?

Hello
The plasma is injected into the puppies veins in thier front legs. If your vet needs to know the plasma quantity required per puppy accoding to weight ratio let me know and I will give you Swanbridge Vets number where one of the vets can tell your vet the formula.
Please let me know how it goes if you are having the treatment done on a litter and I really hope all goes well.

Glad you have noticed that I was thinking it was just me it happened to! :-)
I went for a night out with my friend last Friday night - first time on a girls night for about a year - only at 9.00pm for my phone to go and hubby saying that a puppy was on its way to our house as it had FPS and we needed to take Claude to Swanbridge with the pup! He came for me and off I went with a slobbery bordeaux and my mini skirt and fishnets on with high heels at that! Must of looked a strange sight in the vets! Glad to say the puppy is fine now so it was worth cutting a night out short for :-)

Hi Ann-Marie.
Just got to say a MILLION THANX to you,Phil and Claude, the evening we brought our bordeaux puppy Bud over to you,we really thought that was the last we would see of him,as you know minute by minute he was was getting weaker and weaker, and we really started to despair, but thanx to your knowledge and unbelievable caring approach(and Claudes plasma)just 2hrs after the transfusion little Bud was back to life and was stronger and livlier than ever.
For everyone else reading this Bud was born 2nd Dec 2003 a single pup by c-section, £711 at the time of birth the vets told us he was a big healthy pup, then just 1 day after bringing him home he stopped suckling, and started to get very weak,we rushed him along to our vets were they gave him saline and antibiotics, keeping him in there for 4 days,ann-marie was away at this time,on her return we spoke and she warned me to keep a close eye on him on the friday which was the 3rd day after coming off the antibiotics,as this was just the vets way of fluffing him up(making money)£365 and how right she was.Words cannot thank Ann-Marie,Phil and Claude enough we now have a 5wk old healthy, cheeky, little boy destroying the house CHEERS . I would advise anyone to take Ann-Marie's advise it worked for us.love Nicky xx

Hi Nicky
So glad to hear Bud is doing so well and being a little sod for you :D
Claude is a star and we are very proud of him, he just sits for the vets to take the blood with no problem, I am sure he knows it is for a good cause. Bless him :-)
We worked out he has now saved 11 pups lives with Fading Puppy Syndrome.
I think he should at least get and MBE or whatever it takes to become Sir Claude :D

Oh gosh yes that award was an honour far better than any knighthood :D
Hi Anne-Marie,
Have you got the phone number of the vets who deal with the plasma for Fading Puppies??
A friend has a litter that is struggling, am trying anything at present to help her.....

Hello
Sorry I could not reply sooner but I was away in Spain.
How did it go with the pups and did you manage to contact Swanbridge?
Fingers crossed all went well.

Hi Anne Marie
If you remember you kindly spoke to me on the phone a few weeks ago. I thought I should tell you that our litter went all well with no problems at all. But at least I have the knowledge you gave me and I shall be able to remember it for the future. Also passing it on to others will help educate.
