Hi there i have a bitch who is due from the 23rd of this month as she was mated  over the course of  a week or so.I just wondered if anybody had any ideas as to whether she will have them around the 23rd or into the new year.You can clearly feel them kicking like mad.
Am just curious as to what has happened to other people when mated on more than 1 occasion.Whether it was closer to the first or last mating when she had them

It really depends when she ovulated! & there's no way of knowing that now. You say she was mated over a week, if it was 7 days between the first & last mating, then the chances are, either she was mated a bit early for the first one, (in which case, she'll have taken from a later one) or she had gone over (& into met-oestrus) by her last one.
So to answer your question, she could whelp at any time from 63 days after her 1st mating.

You usually notice that the pups go a bit quieter a couple of days before too.

You should also note that it is possible for pups to result from more than one of the matings, in which case you may have some smaller puppes that may or may not survive, depending on how developed they are. 

Bitches can also produce puppies from different fathers in the same litter if they have been mated by more than one dog close together.

This is quite true;  I mated one of my girls once and then 2 days later mated her again.  She had a boy one day lovely and healthy, but just stopped although I knew there were more in there, ended up with a caeser the next day with 2 small girls, one of which only lived a few weeks.  My vet said that the dog was definitely from the first mating and the two girls from the second, since then I only mate my dogs once.
