i have looked but most of the advice ive already tried and it doesnt work, or its about the dog chewing material things not biting people.

Its quite common and all pups do this so dont be alarmed :)
It is more often referred to as "mouthing" and does not mean your dog will grow up to be aggressive . It will lessen with age , especially when the big teeth come through

It could also be useful to trawl through the Behaviour Forum

In response to your other post the scratches are because the teeth feel like little pins. This is also how they learn and play . As long as you say "no" every time pup does this she will eventually learn .
Did you not look into this before buying a pup or even speak to your breeder about it ???
It is perfectly normal but you seem overly upset by this behaviour .
When she lunges for everything it is probably because she is getting over excited in the mean time.
What breed do you have

You will have to learn to be patient. There isn't an instant solution to this one. If you have read everything else on this topic and are carrying out the advice consistently, she will eventually learn but don't expect her to just suddenly stop doing it, she is only a baby with a lot to learn. Presumably, you have only had her about 3 weeks. You can't expect her to learn how to behave acceptably in that time. When she barks at you , she is trying to get your attention so you have to keep ignoring her or else she's won!!
You would both probably benefit from going to a good training class so you can both learn the best ways to train her.
Don't give up and you'll get there in the end.

The technique behind most methods means the dog learns that it gets no reaction - which means trying any one method for a fairly long time and being consistent - if the pup gets a reaction just once out of ten times this will be enough for it to continue (and try harder) to get a reaction - think of it like owning a clapped out car that's always started - eventually....  You'll keep trying and trying to start it.  But if you've got a new car that suddenly doesn't start, you'll only try a few times - this is the response we're trying to get from the dog.

I agree with Anwen - try and find a local dog training class to go to - it's good socialisation for your puppy, and you will learn the basics in obedience, as well as being able to get good advice on any problems you might be having, such as this 'mouthing'.  When I got my first dog 8 years ago, I really knew nothing about dogs, but I have never stopped going to classes (mainly because my dogs love doing obedience!), and have gained a lot of useful advice.  Good luck!
