I'm not new at the breeding process. My bitch had a litter a year ago and did very well with her babies, but i do have one question. This mating i did not witness the mating this time and i'm trying to estimate the time of labour. Can anyone tell me like when is the time she will start producing milk? I have everything ready for her and the babies. I believe she will have them the last week in dec or the first week in jan. Can anyone help me with giving me a few signs of the last week?
thanks :O)

The bitch's temperature often drops a little a day or so before whelping: the theory is that this helps to prepare the pups for the bigger drop they'll meet when being born.  Other than that, just watch for the usual signs of nest-digging in the last few days.

Milk production varies greatly from dog to dog - my own bitches never had any until the time they actually whelped - then normally had gallons!
