Don't really understand guest how a Staffie can look like a Rottie. The legs for a start look totally different those of the Rot are straight. The colour you mention is not so much rare as undesirable, I don't know if may dogs are born in this colour, may be not, as most breeders would try to avoid it, and may be cull if it occurs. But you are not asking for one, or are you, what are you asking for?

Am I talking nonsense Lel or is your confusion with the guest? I may well be, having a prolonged hot flush courtesy of a bout of flu.

No, you arent confused . :)
T hese colours are not desired in the breed - infact I have NEVER personally seen one although pople on occasion do mistakenly call reds "tan" . I would be inclined to think this was a cross Staffy ?? I have actually seen a staffy x Rottie but cannot think of any purebred which would look remotely like a Rotty in any way ???

Oh good, that's a relief. Neither Staffs or Rots are my breed nor do I know much about either but I have never seen a Staffie that could be mistaken for a Rot, puppy or otherwise, so may be you are right and it was in fact a cross. ;)

Maybe he's had it stolen...hmm, not sure really.  I have met a couple of Black and Tan Staffs, and they were stunning but realise that they are not breed standard colours.  Can't say the ones I met looked like mini-Rottis though...they did look like Staffs but Black and Tan colouring.

You may be right Juliet, but why did they not say so and we would have understood what the post was about. May be I am being muddle headed but if the guests likes to join they can clear the confusion up.

Hi I've seen only one Black and Tan Stafford, and the colour is undersirable in Staffords.

And I'm as confused as everyone else, I think the Guest is looking to find a picture of a B&T Stafford though, and thinks he/she hasn't got a Stafford because of the colour. I agree with Juliet the B&T I saw looked every inch a Staffie, in fact a very nice one at that.

i have seen a b&t and and she was very nice and from a distance she looked like a small rottie but not close up you could tell that she was a stafford.  She was out of a black dog and a red bitch, she was the only one in the litter of all black

I can see what the poster means about looking like a rottie.  The actual dog doesnt look like a rottie but the markings are very similar :)
